As I have stated other times when visiting this site; I come to the site hoping that I will not find any new names added to the list of our fallen brave men and women that protect and serve. As usual I am disapointed to find another brave officer has given his all. I would like to offer my heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to his wife and children and to all the brave officers that worked with Officer Rod Bradway each day. May God Bless you all....

For Officer Rod Bradway:
The response to any domestic dispute has the potential to turn into a nightmare for the law-officer(s) involved. The rage that could be present is not always apparent and before any amount of training can kick-in the possibility of a surprise attack is imminent. We have all been there and more luck than skill has insured our survival. We regret that our brother Rod would be the next law-officer slain at the hands of one who is enraged, explosive and simply a coward. We admire Rod for fighting back and setting an example of courage under fire for the sake of another. He stands a hero among heroes before us forever.
We pray for Rod's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.
We are proud to render Officer Rod Bradway, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

Where do we find men of the caliber of Officer Bradway? They are priceless. May his wife be comforted, and his children, when they grow to adults, remember him with pride and say "This was my gallant and brave father".

As soon as I saw Officer Bradway's photo I was flooded with memories. We attended Indiana State University at the same time many moons ago and spent many hours "hanging out". Even then he was determined to serve others and loved being a firefighter. I lost contact with him as college friends often do, but I am so incredibly proud of him and am blessed to have known him and to have been given a short time with him. I admired him then, and continue to admire the wonderful hero he became. Sending my condolences to his wife and his children. Asking God to send extra angels to be with Rod's family and friends so they may find comfort and support.
