Although it has been 6 years, I think of you often. Jamie and I stay in touch. Rod, the kids have grown into beautiful young adults. I’m sure you know that already. Please continue to look down upon us all, and keep our brothers and sisters safe.
Miss you my friend, my brother.

John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

I did not have the privialge of knowing Officer Bradway, but today at The Heroes Ride in Conroe Texas I had the honor of wearing a wrist band with his name handwritten on the wrist band. My prayers are with the family and everyone who he influenced. Today he touched my life and i will always remember this 30 mile bike ride, and my encounter with Officer Rod L. Bradway. He is truly a hero.

In the early afternoon hours of 9-20-13, I was driving from Ft. Wayne to Avon Indiana to meet up with my daughter and her family. They had just moved from NW Indiana, and bought a new house. The closing was the day before. Listening to the radio, I heard of your death. As a cop with 30 plus years, it hurt, but I have always tried to put OUR deaths in a place that wouldn't bother me.
The wife and I went to Avon on Friday, 11-8-13, to spend the weekend, then attend the Colt's game on Sunday. Our daughter took us to Crown Hill on Saturday 11-9-13, and drove us to the "HEROS OF PUBLIC SAFETY" section.
Brother, it brought me to my knees. Thirty plus years on the job, and what I saw was amazing. You, just like the other heros buried there, are missed, but you sure as hell are not forgotten. The wife, daughter, and grandson left me alone for a bit. I said what needed to be said. OUR BROTHERS/SISTERS will never be forgotten.
Thank you for your service and dedication. RIP.

ROD, I KNOW YOU ARE WATCHING OVER YOUR WIFE AND KIDS AND ARE SO PROUD OF THEM. THESE NEXT FEW MONTHS WILL BE HARD BECAUSE OF THE HOLIDAYS AND NOT HAVING YOU THERE PHYSICALLY. GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY AND KEEP THEM IN YOUR LOVING ARMS.
