The police are not here to create disorder. The police are here to preserve order. God has earned a solider on this day. Our deepest prayers go out to the family, friends and colleagues of this hero for their ultimate sacrifice of putting his life on the line for the safety of the community.
Thank you, for your service.
May you rest in peace

On behalf of the Westerville, Ohio Division of Police, our thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family of Police Officer Jamie Buenting and the extended law enforcement family of the Rockwell City, Iowa Police Department. Rest in Peace brother and watch over us.
I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.
As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.
You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.
MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. Prayers to you, your family and friends.
I know the grief you must be going thru.
We, lucky, did not lose our beloved Chief Dennis Cain (Sumner Ia), but we nearly did, last October.
Just remember, he passed doing what he loved to do, otherwise he would not have been in law enforcement for so long.
God be with you all.

"Remember the Heroes"
They're mothers and fathers, they're husbands and wives,
Ensuring our safety while risking their lives.
We send them to work with a kiss or embrace,
And try not to think of the dangers they face.
They're brothers and sisters, and daughters and sons,
Who serve and protect wearing badges and guns.
We know of the honor and courage they hold,
It shows in their lives and the stories they've told.
They're nieces and nephews, they're neighbors and friends,
On whose dedication our safety depends.
They ask nothing more of the ones they protect,
Than courtesy, trust and a little respect.
They're everyday people enforcing our laws,
They really are heroes who fight for our cause.
Remember these heroes you see every day,
Remember the ones who were taken away.

Although we never met your bravery is one that inspires us in our criminal justice paths. It is a selfless act to decide to wear the badge with honor as you did. You may no longer be among one of our living heroes, but you will forever be in our thoughts. You courageously did what few can do. We think of you with respect and know it takes a strong person to be in the criminal justice field. You will live in those who knew your story and find inspiration in all you did. May you rest in peace and thank you for your service.
