As a former Iowa officer (ILEA #76) and current Arizona Officer, I can not adequately convey my sympathies to the family, fellow officers, and members of the community who knew and interacted with Jamie. Losing someone like Jamie in this manner rocks your sense of security, safety, and trust. The fact remains that evil exists throughout this world, even in small town Iowa, and we are forever indebted to Jamie for his sacrifice and commitment to his fellow man. I pray that God provides comfort for Jamie's family and fellow officers. Hang in there guys, it will be tough, but you will persevere in Jamie's memory. GOD BLESS YOU!

When evil darkens the land, Angels with shining shields of silver or gold pinned to their chests come into the darkness to bring light and protection upon the innocent and weak. These angels are fearless and will protect others at the cost of their own lives. These angels are Law Enforcement Officers. Rest in Peace Sir your watch is over.

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

Jamie was one of the nicest guys I had met. He was a great help to many and he constantly looked out for others. I barely knew him, but knowing what little I do is enough.

Sorry for your loss, My condolences.

Written in honor of the fallen...
A MOMENT

Dear Father,
It was only a moment, but
In that moment a madman walked in
In that moment the world was changed.
In that moment countless Lives, were utterly altered.
In that moment our hearts began breaking.
Now in these moments we speak names previously unknown:
With reverence, we utter their names
In a moment our Line of BLUE stretched out across the nation.
That hard, fast and steady Line of BLUE has been breached.
In these moments help us as we have all become a part of the
Line of BLUE.
Dry our tears, comfort our broken hearts, strengthen our weaken knees, cure our confusion.
May the Line of BLUE draw a circle around us pulling back our hope.
May the Line of BLUE be a shield before us.
May the Line of BLUE carry us into the moments of our future.
A future made sure by their sacrifice in a moment.
It was only a moment and they were gone but
we and the Line of BLUE go on…
