Leo, it was my honor to bring your name to the good folks at ODMP. You'd be proud of your family now. I married your great grand daughter and we have a wonderful son. 80 years is a long time, but you are not forgotten. I'm sorry it took so long, but I just found out the story last week.

Leo, it was my honor to bring your situation to ODMP. I'm married to your great granddaughter and also a policeman. You'd be proud of your family now. When I found out about your life just last week,I couldn't let it go. When I saw that your name wasn't here, I had to go to work to get a brother officer on this site. I'm extremely happy to be able to get your name included by the 80th anniversary of your death.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 80th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
