"A Policeman's Prayer"

Dear Lord, be with me when I am on duty, this day and every day. Let me be kindly to the old and to the young be strong, but let me triumph over those whose acts are cruel or wrong.
Lord, when my own last summons comes and I stand in your court, may my rest with you be long and my punishment be short.

Mike Wilson and I met 20 years ago while I was a dispatcher for the Charlotte County Sheriffs Office and his sense of humor, dedication to his job, and his attitude to excel and be the best made him a great Deputy and person. He always had a smile and never had a bad word to say about anyone. His appreciation of his job was always shown in his attitude and he was proud of it. Even when I saw him a few years back his smile is contagious and now when I think of him in heaven I will ALWAYS remember him as a fun loving father, Deputy with a heart of gold. Mike will be missed but never forgotten as he has left his footprints and wonderful love for law enforcement as his words of honor. Also as a family man I can remember how proud he was of his wife and family. Here is a man that the only song I can thing right now is, "GONE TO SOON", by Michael Jackson, but, NOT FORGOTTEN. GOD BLESS MIKE WILSON AND ALL OF THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND HIS FAMILY.
