On behalf of the Westerville, Ohio Division of Police, our thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family of Corporal Thomas Keith Slay and the extended law enforcement family of the Columbus, Georgia Police Department. Rest in Peace brother and watch over us.
I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

Keith,
You always used to say, "I'm doing God's work!" And that, you did. I'm sure when he laid his eye's on you, a smile came across his face, seeing you standing there, home at last and knowing all the work you did for him!
Today, we laid you to rest like a king but as a humble public servant, you lived your life! We will miss you greatly and your memory will not be forgotten. I will be praying for the ones you left behind and I hope they can find some peace in their hearts as time goes by. Thank you Keith! Thanks for everything! Hope to see you again on the other side...

Your work is done here on Earth - Heaven has called upon you today, leaving so many words left to say. But now it's too late, for your time has come, words unspoken; I am sure everybody has some. Regrets and wishes are probably there too, but lasting forever are memories of you.
There have been many times that we waved to each other, but we were there for each other in time of need. Now it's time for us to say Good-Bye, until we meet again in heaven to fly. Now go and Patrol the Heavens Above and Watch Below those you Love. Thank you for your service.

Losss and grief are part of God's plan but His comfort and presence in the shadow are ever present. It's His lightthat creates the shadow but only for a moment in His eternal plan. Thank you for your service.
