FALLEN HEROES
From the time I was conceived God had for me a plan
He wanted me to get involved to help my fellow man
I know some were against it but God knows what is best
Now I'm resting with him enjoying perfect peace and rest
Heaven is so beautiful I'm walking streets of gold
Now I'm serving others including saints of old
I know some still have anger about the way I died
But God sees and bottles every tear you cry
As difficult as it may be please don't hold a grudge
Remember this my loved ones God alone will judge
Please don't be sad and mourn for me I'm doing what I love
Serving God and guarding you from heaven up above

For Corporal Thomas Keith Slay:

The duty of the law-officer takes him/her onto one of the most dangerous battlefields - a United States highway. No matter the degree of training and preparation, the risk of serious injury or death is constant. Responding to give aid to a fellow officer remains urgent, and will always be a priority. We regret that Tom would be the next law-officer to become a casualty attempting to provide the back-up that he himself would expect from among his peers.
We pray for Tom's family, friends, co-workers, and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.
We are proud to render to Cpl. Thomas Keith Slay, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Police
