Officer Candelari,
On today, the 10th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the USMC. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I served with Larry while assigned to Marine Barracks Panama Canal. He was instrumental to all his fellow Marines; he was one of a kind. When I heard the news, just couldn't believe it. Rest In Peace my friend, we have the watch from here, Semper Fi brother.

I served with Larry as a US Marine at Marine Barracks Rodman, Panama Canal. Larry was a tough Marine that was very well respected and was fun to be around. I'm not surprise that he was serving others when he was taken. While he was a tough man, he was still very compassionate.

I miss you daddy. I have been so lost with out you. Though I have morn the loss of several brothers nothing could have prepared me for the loss of my father. As we are nearly six year out from your in timely demise it is not easier just more normal. Times have been hard but we have endeared. I miss you and your granddaughter misses you. She constantly talks about her time with you. The youngest whom is named after you asks about her Big D and what kind of person he was. I struggle to tell her of the strongest man I have ever known. There is a giant hole in all our hearts without you, but I take heart in knowing we will see each other again.

Love you Daddy

John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

RIP Brother. I attended the last Basic SWAT Class Les Early taught before he was killed. I completed an HPD SWAT Class later that year and came back after knee surgery to pass the PPD Swat Class. You instructors pushed us hard and made people find strength they didn’t know they had. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read what happened to you and Mike Huffman. Thank you for your service to your country and your community. If you look in the dictionary under the words “Street Coo” there’s a picture of you.

This is a case of never truly being off duty. You stopped to help those in need even though you were not officially working and paid the ultimate sacrifice for it. You are now in the big precinct in the sky looking down and protecting your fellow officers of your department. Rest easy brother, we have the watch from here.

I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH.
