Officer Madole,

Rest well in the arms of God.

To Your Family,

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for 2 years. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.

These unarmed Village Public Safety Officers, work in the remote villages in Alaska, with the colsest help miles away and having to fly in. Knowing these challenges, they always put their lives on the line for the people they are their to serve.

I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH.

Thank you for your service in the Last Frontier.

Thomas Madole AKA Mad Dog. One of the greatest and most kind guys that I had known. We went to VPSO Academy together with 28 other recruits that had graduated with him. Class 12-01. He will be greatly missed. He was my roommate with two others for majority of the ten week academy. He had given us three nick names, mine was apakak. He said it was easier to to say then my last name which is Inakak. You are now with the lord whom you served dearly. Watch over us your brothers in sisters that are in uniform, fighting the same cause as you were to protect and serve and better the communities in which we serve. RIP my dear brother Tom.

I remember from a visit with the Alaska Troopers a few years ago what a lonely and isolated job a PSO has. "Backup?" There is no such thing. No doubt Officer Madole was a model of courage and compassion,. Rest in peace, brother, and may God and the Alaska Troopers look out for your wife and family.
