I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH.

I don't visit thr site as much as I used to because it hurts so much to see what is happening daily to out Law Enforcement officers on a daily basis. After serving 16 yrs as a Senior Chaplain to a local sheriff's Dept. here and conducting the funeral two of my own in the line of duty as well as several to natural causes probably from years of stress. I now serve as caregiver to my youngest son, age 44, 20 yr veteran Deputy Sheriff, Drug Agent, Lt. CID who had to medically retired in 2010 because of serious health problems.
I Love this guy's and gal's and pray for them often, I wished I knew how to stop the violence against our people. I guess Obama will help us even more when he takes all our weapons away from us.

Make the God of Creation and Savior of the World be with the family and friends of the veteran officer, Trooper J.A. Walker who paid the supreme sacrifice to "Serve and Protect" the people of Virginia.
Proverbs 3:5,6 helps me everyday to go on in this world.

May God Bless, Protect, and be with every Law Enforcer this day.

Senior Chaplain-Jim Mantooth-retired
Cherokee County Sheriff's Office-Canton, Ga.

To Elizabeth (Betty) and the Walker Family,

As a retired member of the law enforcement community, I wish to express my deepest sympathy and extend my condolences to each of you during your bereavement.

I want to thank MPO/Trooper Junius Walker for his 40 years of dedicated public service to the VA. State Police and the Dinwiddie Community.

He was a perfect example of what Community Policing is all about, He built a rapport with the citizens within the Dinwiddie Community and they respected and trusted him
because of the way that he conducted himself within his profession.

He leaves behind a legacy, not only within the Dinwiddie Community, but throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, and among the law enforcement community nationwide.

His tragic death wasn't just severe to the VSP, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the Law Enforcement Community, but especially to you and your intermediate Family.

My prayers and thoughts are with each of you and will continue to be so, in the days, weeks, and months to come.

MPO Walker (Junius) R. I. P. may you be present for the next Roll Call in Heaven.

This is very sad to hear. A man who gave 40 years of his life to law enforcement and mere weeks from retirement and some sorry excuse for a human decides to fire upon him. Words can not explain the sadness of the this terrible event.
