Reflections for Master Trooper Junius Alvin Walker
First, I would like to say thank you Trooper Walker for the service to this country and giving the ultimate sacrifice. Second, I am a head football Coach at Millbrook High School in Winchester Va. We have started a new tradition at MHS. Each week the Football team will be paying tribute to a Fallen Hero. Whether that fallen hero was in the Military, Police force, EMT or Fire Fighter. This week in our "Tribute to Heroes" the Millbrook Football Team will be playing for Master Trooper Walker. Some people may say that we do this to get the kids fired up for the game, that is not the case. It is to show the players another side of life besides Winchester, Millbrook and Millbrook Football. That were are people like Trooper Walker that sacrifice their lives everyday for their safety!
Again, Thank you to Trooper Walker and his family!

This GREAT man was my brother-in-law, my twin sister's husband. No words or actions by family & friends can make this wasted trail of events go away. Such fond memories I have of him. Known him since 1974, shortly after he joined the force in 1973. An outstanding human being, friend, confidant..... Still can't believe he isn't among us..... Miss you, Junius..... and always will ~~~~

I would like to tell the family and friends that I am so sorry this had to happen to him. I do not know him but from what I read about him he is a very good man I will say a pray for you.
As a fellow Law Enforcement officer I can understand that this is not an easy job and for him to be doing it over 40yrs tells a lot about how he loved his job and love to help other people.

Trooper Walker, I did not personally know you. However, I know many who did. Through thier stories I have come to know you. You have exemplified everything that a good man, law officer, and hero should be.
I pray God to give comfort, mercy, and strength to your family. Rest, peace and mercy to you. Eternal torment to the one who harmed you. I pray also that God protect those of us left behind.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice, I will not forget.

My deepest condolences to the family, members of the State Police, and those served, at the loss of this Trooper. May faith, family, friends and time join together to ease everyone’s pain at this time of loss.
While many other career choices were certainly available, this officer chose to protect his fellow man, and for this we give everlasting thanks. As the Good Lord hath said, “Blessed are the Peacemakers.”
Thank you for your service, your convictions and moral character, as well as your devotion to duty. May you now rest in peace, knowing your fellow Troopers will watch over your family and continue the Watch!

To the family and friends of Master Trooper Junius Walker and his fellow officers:
On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Junius died.
To Master Trooper Walker's family, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Master Trooper Walker gave to his community and the citizens of Virginia, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on March 7, 2013.

Trooper Walker, you are truly a hero to me. I have served as a Police Officer for over 20 years and have found no greater Heros than Officers like you. I will remember your name and the reason you stopped for that vehicle forever. Thanks for your service and your giving to your community.

Though I never knew him, he was part of my Law Enforcement family and I will mourn this deep loss the rest of my life. My heart aches with all the losses we have suffered, and continue to suffer, through the years. God is our only peace through such incidents & He will judge the guilty. May family & friends feel the presence of the "God of All Comfort" as they endure the distressing days ahead. I join them in their agonizing grief & remember them in my prayers.
Another senseless tragedy
Another day of grief,
Another day of praying
To help us find relief.
Relief from bitter anguish
Relief from rage so great,
Relief from lenient justice
Which continues to seal our fate.
Relief from heartache’s torment
As we continue on,
Oh, the awesome loss of brotherhood
Now that you are gone.
Though our hearts are deeply broken
And our tears forever flow,
There’s a comforting assurance
That now with God you go.
We know that you are welcome
Now at Heaven’s gate,
While meeting brothers & sisters
Who also met such fate.
The family of Law Enforcement
Knows no distance here or there,
And we recall in comfort
You await us there.
