Reflections for Master Trooper Junius Alvin Walker
Trooper Walker was a kind, sincere caring man who took his profession seriously, and above all, wanted to serve and protect the people of Dinwiddie county and Virginia. As one who had dealings with him in Court as an officer of the court, there was no finer public servant and man. As a retired Army officer with 30 years of service, I would have been proud to have him backing me up in any situation. He will be missed.

My heartfelt prayers go out to the family, friends, and co-workers of Master Trooper Junius A Walker. In a world so in need of men and women who are willing to stand between the good people of our nation and those who would do us harm, Trooper Walker's passing will always be a tragic and terrible loss. May he rest in God's care. Revelation 21:4-5.

It is always so sad when someone serving our country is killed in the line of duty. My son is a State trooper and this just makes his dad and I even more aware of the courage and committment it takes for the job. My deepest grattitude goes to Master Trooper Walker and his family for the service he provided and my prayers are with you.

A Peace Officer and true professional. Trooper Walker age 60 and still in this line of work and on the front lines patrolling the highways of the Commonwealth. A person who works behind the drivers seat of a patrol car and not a desk. A person who would work night days and holidays when the Office workers and other administrators are home with there families and he is away from his. A man working in areas of the unknown and people always contemplating to cause him possible harm. Lets not forget the politicians who say there is no money in the budget to hire more Officers that are so desperately needed. But still Trooper Walker takes it all in stride puts on his uniform and marks in service to help those in need and to stop some person from doing something they should not have done. Rest in Peace you are a true inspiration.

May the peace of God rest with the natural family, the Virginia State Police as well as the community of Dinwiddie County. He was truly a respected member of authority. My prayers are with you all in the days and months ahead.

Your work is done here on Earth - Heaven has called upon you today, leaving so many words left to say. But now it's too late, for your time has come, words unspoken; I am sure everybody has some. Regrets and wishes are probably there too, but lasting forever are memories of you.
There have been many times that we waved to each other, but we were there for each other in time of need. Now it's time for us to say Good-Bye, until we meet again in heaven to fly. Now go and Patrol the Heavens Above and Watch Below those you Love. Thank you for your service.

The tragic death of Trooper Walker is compounded by the fact that he was so close to a well deserved retirement after 40 years of service. Not too many officers serve 40 years and he ended his career on the front lines. My sincere condolences to his family and to the men and women of Virginia State Police. May you rest in peace Trooper Walker.

My prayers go out to the family, friends, and coworkers of Master Trooper Walker. A man and true hero who devoted his life to law enforcement and had his life taken from him from some scumbag so close to his retirement. This man is the definition of what law enforcement stands for. He devoted 40 years of his life to serve and protect the citizens in his jurisdiction and paid the ultimate sacrifice by simply stopping to lend a helping hand to someone he thought was in need. RIP brother, may you serve the angels in heaven as well as you served the people here on earth.

You were the bravest of the brave my brother officer. The world is richer for your being here, protecting and serving without hesitation. Your passing is really not in vain, you are a hero and although there is immense pain in your family, in years to come, I hope they will find strength and shout from the rooftoops, He was a real Hero. To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other. Rest In Peace My Brother.
