My heart is forever broken because of this tradgedy. Of all officers in the line in death, this one to me is the hardest. This man could have retired but for reasons I don't know chose to stay and protect us. God Bless you Sir.

While speeding home to be by my Mother's side after learning she had cancer, encountered Master Trooper Walker along Interstate 64. Although at the time, was very distraught, have never forgot his professionalism and genuine compassion. I followed up with Master Trooper Walker to let him know she pulled through but to this day, I still of him. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, family and his brothers. Rest in peace Master Trooper Walker.

This is a sad day for not just the Commonwealth of Virginia, but the United States as a whole. Such a wholesome, dedicated law enforcement professional who spends 40 years of his life serving others. Trooper Walker is the kind of role model we only hope to see in our day. Those of us that have been in law enforcement know of the sacrifices Trooper Walker and his family made throughout his 40 years of service. Nothing short of admirable and impressive. I am grateful for your service and share my deepest sympathy for your family. You deserved so much better.

This man died a hero's death, returning fire from inside his cruiser after being ambushed. What an inspiration to the rest of us who patrol the back roads. God grant the peace that passes understanding to his family and his VSP family. Rest in peace Master Trooper, you earned it. We'll take it from here.

Police Officer's Prayer to St. Michael

Saint Michael, heaven's glorious commissioner of police,
who once so neatly and successfully cleared God's premises
of all its undesirables, look with kindly and professional
eyes on your earthly force.

Give us cool heads, stout hearts, and uncanny flair for
investigation and wise judgement.

Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and
law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores,
strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations.

You know, Saint Michael, from your own experiences
with the devil that the police officer's lot on earth is not
always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so
pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the
devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration.

And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your
heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the
throne of God, as we have been to guard the city of all
the people. Amen.

R.I.P.
Ours prayers are with your family

Safe In His Arms, Now and Forever

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Words cannot express the sadness I felt once I heard about Junius tragic and senseless death. I worked with him while he was stationed in NOVA many years ago. I pray the love of God enfolds his family during their journey through grief. May Gods words provide a comfort to his family during this time of great sorrow.

REST IN PEACE MY BROTHER!!
