Reflections for Corporal Terry Wayne Johnson
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, REST IN PEACE.

Terry was a friend since before he even became involved in law enforcement. He is one of the few people I have ever known of whom I could not possibly think of one negative thing to say. He was always friendly, warm, caring and professional. This is a great loss to law enforcement because men like him are few and far between. My deepest sympathy to Carla and all the men and women of the Sebastian County SO.

My prayers go out to the family and friends of Corporal Johnson, there are too few who view this as a tragedy, and more that should. Our ranks are small, and getting smaller every day. He lived, and served the people who never knew him, but that he lived to protect!!! Rest in peace Corporal Johnson, I and many others will remember you're sacrifice.

I made the trip back home for the weekend and attended your funeral today. I can truly say that the citizens of Sebastian County lost a great man and the outpouring of support they showed today brought me to tears. I remember being pulled over for speeding by you when I was in high school, and I must admit your stature was quite intimidating but your charm and demeanor made me instantly like you. I'll always remember that day and the laughs we shared at the end of the traffic stop. Seeing you and how you walked, spoke, and handled your career with outstanding professionalism made me want to become a deputy. Thank you for being there for us citizens when we needed help the most. Rest in peace gentle giant, you're gone but you will never be forgotten.

WE ARE THE POLICE
We're always out there serving and protecting
We will never falter while we're on the watch
You're sleeping soundly the streets alive around you
We patrol our sectors, our beats both day and night
We are the Police..........We're watching over you
We are the Police..........Protecting is what we do
A call from dispatch says that help is needed
We responded code 3 just to get to you
Arriving on scene, suspect began to scream
I'm not going to jail tonight....not without a fight
We are the Police..........We're watching over you
We are the Police..........Protecting is what we do
Our badge is battered, the uniform is tattered
We give all we have to keep you safe this night
Battle was hard fought, we didn't give a second thought
Responding to a call for help is what we're all about
We are the Police..........We're watching over you
We are the Police..........Protecting is what we do
Some people say...........................We're insane
Some people call us.......................Foul names
But when you need help.................Who came
We are the Police..........We're watching over you
Our fallen heroes, are gone but not forgotten
Thin blue line of courage, forever standing true
So please don't hate us and try not to forsake us
We will give our all, to keep you from all harm
We are the Police..........We're watching over you
We are the Police..........Protecting is what we do

Corporal Johnson,
You have been welcomed home by many who also chose to "Serve and Protect". Rest well in the arms of the Lord.
To Your Family,
Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.
Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen”
I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for 2 years. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.

God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain; but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.
Rest in peace.

RIP Cpl. Johnson. I remember seeing Terry when I was a high schooler around my school. I was always impressed with his professional appearance and attitude. It was a great role model for an aspiring police officer. Although I worked for a different agency, I had the oppurtunity to work a few calls with Terry and I found him to be an outstanding deputy and individual. Thank you for your service, you will be missed but never forgotten. God Bless

Terry, you had my back for a lot of years and I always had yours. So many memories and stories, man. We had some great times. You meant so much to so many people. You were one of the most kind hearted and compassionate people I have ever met and you remained so through some of the worst times and incidents while dealing with some of the worse people this Earth had to offer. You were a moral beacon for the rest of us with a Warrior Ethos that couldn't be shaken. You'll always be remembered and we won't let you be forgotten, buddy. God bless you, my friend.
