Reflections for Detective Elizabeth Chase Butler
As I sit here in my Patrol Car listening to the dispatch radio and waiting for the next call for service, I hear the news. Two more police officers killed. As tears fill my eyes, I can only ask “Why?” And as I look to the heavens for answers, I breathe a silent prayer to those two brave officers who gave their lives in the service of others. I know they will be accepted into heaven with open arms but I also pray that they Rest in Peace as their spouses and young children grieve from the loss. Go to glory in the arms of the Lord my two unknown friends and compatriots. You will never be forgotten.
