I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

RIP Keith Lawrence. I used to play basketball with him and his older brother, Kevin, at Glenwood Park in Moorpark, CA in the early 1990s. Their Dad would sometimes play too. Might have been the coolest group of guys I've ever met. Keith was always so upbeat and friendly. It's also no surprise that he got really good at basketball...like really good. And that he went in Law Enforcement. A good dude. The good ones do seem to be taken too soon. And he was a good one. No doubt.

I was online collecting information for local agencies for friend that's being discharged from the Army. I went over to the USC DPS site and found saw their rememberance section for you and your fiancee.
You had already left this world when I was assigned along with my unit to protect another potential victim of that coward that couldn't face you as a man. The same COWARD went on to destory the lives of two other fellow L.E. and leave pain in his wake.
And just like a COWARD he took his own life rather than face the TRUTH of his own stupidity and failures as a MAN.
Rest in peace young man, rest well....

Thinking of you and all of your loved ones today. There are no special words to help those loved ones suffering from your loss. Continue to watch over all of them, wrap your wings around them and help them with their grief. You will never be forgotten.
