Reflections for Special Deputy Joseph G. Munz

Special Deputy Munz,
On today, the 90th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army as a member of the 3rd NY Volunteers Regiment during the Spanish-American War. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I was born 10 years after Your last watch. I am so proud to be Your Grandson. We could have had so much fun together. It was fun listening to Grandma, my mother and Aunt Olla telling wonderful stories about You. I and my wife Barbara and our 4 children and 8 grandchildren are proud of Your legacy and Your service In the U.S. Army and the Sheriff's Department.
