Reflections for Police Officer Chris Yung

His spirit is with the Lord. His death was caused by one of the most common "LEFT TURN, COMING AT YOU" accidents a motorcyclist faces. Having ridden for 40+ years I know that well. Idiot "cagers" (drivers of four wheeled vehicles) do not see motorcycles... it is like they look through the bike and rider.

May the Lord comfort Officer Yung's family. May the Lord bless this young U.S. Marine's soul ("once a Marine, always a Marine"), and his Motorofficer brothers and sisters every where. Saint Micheal please keep watch over all the police officers whom are still on Watch. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I remember the first time that I met you, It was a combine escort where Prince William County Motors and Fairfax County Motors worked together as we so offen do. You were so happy to be on the Motor Unit. You were still in a car since you did not have a bike yet. But that did not matter to you, you were where you wanted to be. WE have crossed paths many times since on the road at other escorts and events. I always saw a smile on your face and you were always so happy. GOD bless you my BROTHER . you will be missed. I will pray for you, your Family and your Department . Semper Fi!!! From Fairfax County Motor 9

Officer Chris Yung, you were a great father, husband, brother, and friend. You were a proud Marine and patron. You served a tour in Iraq only to return home to continue your patronage by becoming a police officer. Your heart was big and all you wanted to do is help people and make a difference which you did. You always put others before you. You had a smile that could light up a room and can never be forgotten. You always challenged yourself and strived to do better. You were always there in the time of need. You had a way of doing business and still have someone thank you for doing your job. You have many brothers and sisters in blue that are great full to have met you or graced with your prescense. You were my role model and were the reason why I pursued my dream of being a police officer. You did not deserve to leave so soon nor go out the way you did. You will be greatly missed but you will live on through all of our hearts. You will be a hero that won't be forgotten. I love you, my brother.

Godspeed Officer Yung. Thank you for your service. I am so sorry.

For your family, and especially your wife and 3 small children - sometimes there is comfort in the smallest things.

Christopher Robin once said to Pooh -

“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you.”
