Words cannot express the heartbreak I feel for Officer Yung's family and friends. His tragic death has saddened our community and we are forever grateful for his service to our country and Prince William County. What a remarkable man he was. To have touched so many lives and left such an impression that even the residents he pulled over have been leaving comments about his professionalism, integrity and his amazing smile. May his family know that they are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.

You were a great friend and locker partner at Gar-Field on the crazy D squad days. I enjoyed sitting at our lockers (with clothes on of course) talking about cars, our families and the previous nights calls for service. Thanks for coming out to the house last year, the Lake Anna boat trip will never be forgotten!! You always had a way to make everybody laugh even if you were the butt of the joke at times. You were the sweetest, most kind hearted officer I have met You really were a cops cop, and a friends friend. I miss you already little buddy.
With much love and respect,
Josh Wehmeyer, D Squad East

My condolences and prayers to the family, friends , and fellow officers of Officer Yung.
There is certainly a common bond among all police officers, but there is an even stronger spirit of camaraderie among motor officers. Each and every time we receive such sad news, we know that there but for the grace of God go I, and those of us with any amount of time in the saddle have known the grace of God more often than we'd care to admit.
We leave you now Chris Yung to the constant peace of the Lord, and are comforted in our loss by the knowledge that for you, our brother, it will be blue skies and open road for the rest of your days. Watch over us from above, until we form up with you again in the great beyond. Ride on brother, ride on.
