A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.

Ricky was one of the great guys in law enforcement, one of the guys that you would say you were proud to know, one of the guys who demonstrated day in and day out our core values: Honor, Integrity, Loyalty and Service. Training Ricky in the Academy he always gave everything he had and made you laugh and as another instructor said "You couldn't smoke him". Ricky you will be missed

Rest in peace brother. Who would have guessed back in middle school that we would both become sheriff deputies? I cant remember a single moment where you did not have a smile on your face and hopefully everyone else that you touched throughout your life will remember you the same. Thank you for all of your service and your friendship.
