As a police officer for almost 30 years, I can honestly say Artie was one of the nicest, kindest and caring officer I ever met. He would always walk into a room with a smile and say hello to everyone. People loved to be around him because of his upbeat attitude toward the job and life in general. Another young officer pays the ultimate sacrifice while serving the public.
Many times I find myself missing the job, and then I read a post about another officer meeting their untimely death at the hands of one that does not deserve to be "served". Yet we do it anyways -
