On behalf of Pennsylvania State Troopers, I express my condolences for a brave, professional and well respected Police Officer killed by a cowardly enemy. I hope the community will show appreciation for the sacrifice Officer LOPEZ has made, and outrage for this violent attack. To the citizens in this community, I ask that you do your civic duty and punish this ruthless criminal for the brutal murder of this soldier of law. With swift justice, sentence this murderer to the most severe penalty. Officer LOPEZ, may the memory of your heroism, service and sacrifice remain forever. May God bless you, your family, and your fellow brother and sister officers in the Nassau County Police Department. AC

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

As a police officer for almost 30 years, I can honestly say Artie was one of the nicest, kindest and caring officer I ever met. He would always walk into a room with a smile and say hello to everyone. People loved to be around him because of his upbeat attitude toward the job and life in general. I must say it was an honer to work with such a fine young man and you will be truly missed. Artie may you rest in peace and watch over your fellow officers. Artie you with out a doubt were The Finest of The Finest.

Another young officer pays the ultimate sacrifice while serving the public.
Many times I find myself missing the job, and then I read a post about another officer meeting their untimely death at the hands of one that does not deserve to be "served". Yet we do it anyways -
I know, without a doubt, that this young officers family and friends know what a true Hero" and will be forever in their hearts, and the hearts of his brother officers nationwide.
May you find peace as you watch over the streets of heaven.
