God willing, some good and change for the better will come out of such depravity and senslessness. As a society, we do learn from our tragedies, and that is possibly the only solace to those affected. My hope is that this horror will force a better system that will prevent the lapses in criminal justice that allowed such a useless individual his freedom and liberty, which he only used to rob good people of their lives. RIP Officer Lopez and God bless you.

I would like to render my final salute to Officer Arthur Lopez for being one of the outstanding police officer of NASSAU county. It so sad that he has to go at such young age. May he RIP. My sincerest condolence to all the love ones that he left behind as well as his friends and co-workers in his department.
