I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization.
As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
I have given my life so that others may live in peace.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.
You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.
MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH.

Smile because he Lived
You can shed tears that he is gone,
or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he is gone,
or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn back,
or you can do what he would want:
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

While stationed in Germany we joked in the way brothers-in-arms do about your being single and having a cat... then you shocked us all when you married your beautiful girl. You earned our respect with the way you took a ribbing and always found ways to give it back. You will be forever remembered as a fine Airman, caring leader, supervisor and mentor. My prayers to your family and friends. Rest in peace Major Chase.

RIP Officer Chase, what saddens me of this tragic loss to the Chase family and the Oklahoma City PD is that day that you passed it was my son's birthday and while i was celebrating that day your family was mourning for your loss. May the memory of your act of valor, heroism, bravery, courage and your ultimate sacrifice to your fellow man remain forever, you are a true hero and will not be forgotten, you are in a better place patrolling the golden streets of heaven. God Bless your family

As you departed the bonds of this earth and touched the face of God, know that the service and dedication you had for your department, its fellow officers and the citizens of your community will never be forgotten. May God comfort in this time of sorrow your family, your fellow officers and all those whose lives you have touched. You have served your time in hell, now rest comfortably in the arms of God. We’ll take it from here.
