I would just like to extend my sincere condolences to Trooper Fox's family. The pain you are now feeling is overwhelming I know. I wish I could take it away. I wish I could make this nightmare disappear for you, but fact is I can't. I am, however, praying that God will give you strength to endure these next few days and the many lonely nights ahead of you. When you feel like it, please call me. You should have my number, but if not just call the Radford University Police Department. I live in Radford and will be here for you in the days, weeks, and months ahead. I go to DC for Police Week every year and also have attended COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors) Surviving Spouses’ Weekend, I will help you through this if you will let me. You will not have to walk this road alone. Unfortunately, I do not believe I am strong enough to attend Trooper Fox's funeral because each law enforcement death brings up my own pain and loss. But please know I will be thinking of you and praying for each of you.
To Trooper Fox: I never met you but I have heard so many wonderful things about you. Please say hello to Allen for me and you all watch over us from above. Our pain never goes away, so please send us strength. We will always miss you guys, may you Rest in Peace.
Laura Gibson-Szerokman, Surviving Spouse
