Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Bird Daugherty

for a man who died 102 years ago with his Sons, he deserves to be recognized for his Service to his community. His poor wife lost more than her Husband that day she lost two of her Sons as well. The grief she must have felt.
Rest in peace Deputy Daugherty and your Sons none of you will ever be forgotten.

Widow of Deputy Michael Haugen.

This is my great grandfather, he with my grandfather and great uncle was murdered on Petros Mountain. My dad was 6 years old at the time. My grandmother was home in bed, she had a new born baby that was 2 days old.
My grandmother had a hard time raising her family.

God bless you and your boys/family, 93 years ago. Shame on the Governor Horton for pardoning 1 of your killers. Glad the next 2 officers he tried that on were able to survive and end his undeserved freedom.
