R.I.P. Sgt. Ricard! It was truly a sad day yesterday, while at work myself (CCF/Colorado Dept. of Corrections), that I learned about your attack & murder. May you rest in peace and know that you will not be forgotten. It was an honor serving with you as a fellow co-worker in blue! I pray for your family, the Sgt. whom is still in the hospital, the responders, AVCF, and all of us in the Colorado Dept. of Corrections. God bless!

As a supporter and citizen, I find this just totally unacceptable in our system of law enforcement. There has to be.. there must be a better way a safer way to protect all of our law enforcers, who every day put their lives on the line, not only to protect and serve, but to actually help these people that are coming after them in harms way. This world is evil. The law enforcers are fighting a war that they are not given the tools they need to fight this war, and that must be changed in order for good to win as it always has in the past. God bless Mary, and know that she did not die for no reason. We all know the reason and that must be address4ed now.

A corrections officer should be remembered not by how she died, but how she lived! A great woman has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Colorado Department of Corrections. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Sister.
