Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Bruce Edwin St. Laurent

Life.....so fragile, Loss....so sudden, Heart....so broken,... in the wake of such a loss,
we are haunted by things we don’t, and
may never, understand.

Yet the solace we seek may not come from
answers. So we look for comfort in the
belief of love's everlasting connection.

May that love lift you and hold you close, and give you peace.

TO THE FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES OF OFFICER BRUCE ST.LAURENT.

My heart is filled with great sadness at the lost of your loved one and fellow Officer.
We in the law enforcement community are a family.
Whether you pin a Badge, a Shield or a Star upon your chest.
Whether you work in a small town or large city.
Whether you work in Detention Facilities or out on Patrol.
Whether active duty or retired, we are family, a law enforcement family, a brotherhood, a band of brothers having walked the line of good over evil knowing that at any moment in the course of performing our duties the ultimate sacrifice might be required of us in the service to our community.
For Law Enforcement is not a job but a calling and only a few will make the decision to commit to that calling to serve for some will give all that they have.

I commend you my fallen brother for making the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of your duty.
For you left us doing what you chose to do.
Performing a job you were trained to do.
Upholding the oath you swore to do.
Most importantly doing what you loved to do........SERVING and PROTECTING your community making a better and safer place for us all.

FINAL CALL
OFFICER ST. LAURENT STATUS.........OFFICER ST. LAURENT STATUS.........OFFICER ST. LAURENT STATUS.........
ATTENTION ALL UNITS.........JUPITER POLICE DEPARTMENT OFFICER BRUCE ST. LAURENT HAVING SERVED THE CITIZENS OF JUPITER CITY, FLORIDA WITH HONOR AND DISTINCTION IS NOW 10-42.
Rest in Peace my Brother, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN !!!

Officer St. Laurent - You sir will be found alive and well in the presence of God.

To Your Family:

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have been on my knees first thing every morning and prayed for every law enforcement officer and their family.

Every morning - during that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for 18 months. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.

I will always remember his smile. Though I didn't know him, I often saw him around town. Being an avid 5K runner, I would see him leading many of my races. I am the neighbor of the Sitton family and we had police officers in our home throughout that awful night. The Jupiter Police force will always hold a special place in my heart for all they did for our community during a most horrific time. I am praying for Office Laurent's family and also for his family at the Jupiter PD. Warm regards, Valerie Boyd

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.
