Officer Youngstrom is a hero and I want to say to his family, especially his children that I have them in my prayers and I understand what they will go through. I have lost a close family friend who was a police officer in Maryland who also was killed in the line of duty about 4 years ago, his name was Sgt. Richard Findley. At that time his 2 young daugthers were only 6 & 9 years old. This is alot of help you can get for his children, COPS Camp is through (Concerns of Police Survivors) and it is there to help the children of officers that have dies in the line of duty and it is great for his children to let them see there are other children going through unfortunately going through the same tragedy they are.

Officer Youngstrom will always be remembered as a true hero.

To many times a tragedy happens to the best of this world. In my line of duty working as a military police officer I not only see this tragedy while assigned to law enforcement on a base but also in combat. You know that pain very well sir, because you were in the Army. I thank you for your service. Although I am currently not in California due to the military I thank you for your continued protection you have offered from the evil in the world. One day I hope to follow in your foot steps as a Highway Patrolman in California, please watch down over us and guide us each day as you protect the streets of Heaven. God Bless you sir, RIP

This is near my home... so incredibly sad. I sometimes forget that horrible things can and do happen here, even in this bubble of a town. This really touched me, and I just had to leave my respects. RIP Officer Youngstrom
