To the family, co-workers and friends of Officer Youngstrom, There are no words to ease your pain, but I send my deepest condolences for your loss. My late husband Mike worked in that office for the large majority of his career, and though I don't know many who work there now, it holds a special place in my heart.

May you find comfort in your treasured memories, and may you feel the love and support of your extended law enforcement family who share your sadness at this senseless tragedy. We stand ready to offer friendship and support now and down the road.

Our CHP family has lost another one of California's finest. My close friend is the widow of Officer Dave Romero EOW 9/23/2005. I have seen the pain of losing such a great man but I have also watched his family grow and succeed with him in their hearts! He is always with them! May God be with your family and they find strength in Him.
