Thank you for your service to your community, Chief. Rest in peace, brother.

My prayers go out to the family of this fine example of a servant of community and our Lord. I have no doubt that Chief Profitt is serving as a bailiff in His court. His loss is not an ending; but rather a new beginning in the kingdom of Heaven.

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

As you departed the bonds of this earth and touched the face of God, know that the service and dedication you had for our country, your community, its fellow officers and the citizens of your community will never be forgotten.  May God comfort in this time of sorrow your family, your fellow officers and all those whose lives you have touched.  You have served your time in hell, now rest comfortably in the arms of God.  We'll take it from here.

Had this 'man' not committed so many crimes, you would not have had to arrest him so many times. With luck, he'll get his wish and never be arrested again, being in prison for the rest of his life whether it ends naturally or otherwise.

Chief, you did a lot for your community and may you now take a well earned, albeit a rest taken all too soon.

God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.

Officer Herbert was obviously a legend who had dedicated most of his life to protecting and serving the public. It is tragic such a faithful individual had to be taken away by such a cowardly act. RIP officer. You did well.
