How vain would any words of mine be in an attempt to extinguish the anguish felt by Trooper Marshall L. Bailey's personal and professional families in this grave time.
May his wife and children, brothers and sisters cherish the fond memories of the love lost. May God in Heaven dispatch a host of angels to encamp round about and encompass these loved ones and friends of Trooper Marshall L. Bailey in the choatic times to come.
Trooper Bailey, may you enjoy your just reward and new beat on Heaven's Streets of Gold.

Sir,
You will not be forgotten.
To Your Family.
Feel the love. Since the day of my son's death, I have fallen to my knees first thing every morning and prayed for every law enforcement officer and their family. On my knees every morning - during that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen"
I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for 18 months. Feel those prayers. God is with you, feel His presence. He knows and will ease your pain.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:

My heart is absolutely crushed right now. I never EVER thought there would be another trooper's picture that would have to be placed on the wall next to Brian. I am at a loss for words. God bless you and your three precious kids. My prayers will be with them always and especially in the upcoming days as I know the pain they are feeling and will need them the most. Trooper Bailey, you are a hero and will NEVER be forgotten.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the West Virginia State Police. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.
