TO THE FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES OF CORPORAL MARSHALL LEE BAILEY.
My heart is filled with great sadness at the lost of your loved one and fellow State Trooper.
We in the law enforcement community are a family.
Whether you pin a Badge, or Shield or Star upon your chest.
Whether you work in a small town or large city.
Whether you work in Detention Facilities or out on Patrol.
Whether active duty or retired, we are family, a law enforcement family, a brotherhood, a band of brothers having walked the line of good over evil knowing that at any moment in the course of performing our duties the ultimate sacrifice might be required of us in the service to our community.
For Law Enforcement is not a job but a calling and only a few will make the decision to commit to that calling to serve for some will give all that they have.
I commend you my fallen brother for making the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of your duty.
For you left us doing what you chose to do.
Performing the job you were trained to do.
Upholding the oath you swore to do.
Most importantly doing what you love to do..........serving your community making a better and safer place for us all.
FINAL CALL
CORPORAL BAILEY STATUS..........CORPORAL BAILEY STATUS..........CORPORAL BAILEY STATUS..........
ATTENTION ALL UNITS..........WEST VIRGINIA STATE POLICE CORPORAL MARSHALL LEE BAILEY HAVING SERVED THE CITIZENS OF THE STATE OF WEST VIRGINIA WITH HONOR AND DISTINCTION IS NOW 10-42.
Rest in Peace my Brother, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN !!!

Avenue of the Fallen
Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.
A brother law enforcement officer

Another tragic loss. I want to tell the family how sorry I am.
I too lost a family member who was a Huntington Police Officer in West Virginia who was killed in the line of duty.
It saddens me so much when I hear of another officer who's life has been cut short by some self centered uncaring so called human being.
Thank you so much for your service Trooper Marshall Lee Bailey. You and your family will forever be in my heart , thoughts and prayers.
I too would love to be a police officer to serve and protect each and every single day as you did. You rest in peace now, you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. Thank you Always!!!!

Fallen Comrade
Taking cover... shots fired, then you hear that sound. The unmistakable crackle of the radio, the feared words...'Officer Down'.
One more fallen comrade, the number continues to grow. Sorrow fills one's heart, trying not to let the anger show.
Waging a daily battle, out there trying to win the war. Never knowing what you'll encounter, on this stop or from behind that next door.
One more fallen comrade, is gone and out of our sight. Yet guiding us from up above, always riding on our right.
RIP Trooper Bailey! you will be greatly missed but never forgotten!

The Policeman stood and faced his God,Which must always come to pass.He hoped his shoes were shining as brightly as his brass."Step forward now, officer. How shall I deal with You?Have you always turned the other cheek? To my Church have you been true?"The officer squared his shoulders and said,"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.Cause those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint. But I never took a penny that wasn't mine to keep,Though I worked a lot of overtime when the bills just got too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I wept unmanly tears.I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand.I've never expected or had too much. But if you don't, I'll understand."There was silence all around the throne where the saints had often trod.As the officer waited quietly for the answer of his God."Step forward now, Officer, you've borne your burdens well.Come walk a beat on Heaven's Streets. You've done your time in Hell."
