My deepest sorrow to the family, friends and the police department for the loss of this young officer. I know all to well how the experience of this line of duty death will affect the colleagues of Officer Morris. When I learned of his death and the details unfolded, Officer Morris' is so senseless so me. God bless him and all his fellow officers who continue to do the work that must be done however. We just have to believe he died doing what he loved doing. RIP brother, others will fight.

Officer Morris,
I'm so sorry to hear of your untimely death. When I was retiring in 2010, you were just coming on. You got the chance to walk the halls of District VI, attend roll call, drop off 88's and run calls with your squad. You are now part of the County's elite, you will always be remembered with guys like John Bagileo, Tony walker, Roger Fleming, Rich Findley, Steve Gaughan and many other heros who died doing what they loved, being a PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY POLICE OFFICER. I got the call from another retired officer I work with now and we were both shocked and sadden. Thanks for running all those calls and putting your life on the line to protect people who can't protect themselves. Rest easy young officer, your squad will run the rest of the calls from here.

With deep sorrow and great regret, The Zone Five Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy, Session 53, sends its condolences for the tragic loss of Police Officer Adrian Morris. The loss of any officer is a solemn reminder of the dangers Law Enforcement's men and women face, however, Officer Morris' young age hits very close to home for our recruits. We will do our best to honor your memory. Thank you very much for your service, and may you rest in peace.

After They Are Gone
When someone we love passes away,
We ache, but we go on;
Our dear departed would want us to heal,
After they are gone.
Grief is a normal way to mend
The anguish and pain in our hearts;
We need time to remember and time to mourn,
Before the recovery starts.
Let's draw together to recuperate,
As we go through this period of sorrow;
Let's help each other, with tender care
To find a brighter tomorrow.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Prince George's County Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.
