The Fallen Officer Brazos County Constable Brian Bachmann did walk through the valley of the shadow of death and he did fear no evil knowing that the Lord was with him. Goodness and mercy did follow him all the days of his life and the same will after his life. Now go brave soldier in the Army of the Lord and dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Brian, today was your final call. It was treated as any other day, who knew it would be your last. No one knew what lie ahead, the disaster it would bring. You always served with honor and heart, and you leave us with the same. Blessings to your family, as you take your final place in Heaven. Godspeed.

My deputies day in and day out serve these type papers and I cringe each time they go out. I pray that the good Lord will make a much safer home for Brian and I also pray that God surrounds his family, fellow deputies and many other officers that worked with him over the years and know that God shall provide them comfort and peace. Although he may have left us on this physical earth, he will NEVER be forgotten in our memories!

The Law-Enforcement family is already a small one. However, this one hits home especially hard. I pray that Constable Bachmann's death will NOT be in vain. Rather, let it be a reminder of just how dangerous our job is. Whether we are taking down felony offenders, serving papers or walking into a convenience store for coffee, it CAN happen to you. Please be careful out there. Wear your vest, carry your portable radios and check out with dispatch when you are taking any action.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Constable Bachmann.

May angels lead you into paradise; upon your arrival, may the martyrs receive you and lead you to the holy city of Jerusalem. May the ranks of angels receive you, and with Lazarus, once a poor man, may you have eternal rest.
