Prayers go out to this family. William was not only a brother in Law Enforcement, but my friend of many years. I will never forget the many "jokes" we pulled on people at his family's store (mostly pulled on my wife). He was one of the best people I was blessed to have known, and to consider such a close friend. You will be missed but not forgotten. Until we meet again.

So much death - too much of it a result of senseless acts and a disrespect for life - saddens me beyond words. Brave individuals such as Officer Mast put themselves in harms way for each of us and will be honored. My prayers are with his family.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Watauga County Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.

Father,
Wrap your loving arms around this young woman as she mourns. Help her to feel your love, and help her to know that her husband is well with you. Give her the strength and courage to hold on tight to her child. Bless this little one, make this child grow to healthy, wise, and a blessing to all.
In Jesus' name, AmenFeel the love.
Since the day of my son's death, I have fallen to my knees first thing every morning and prayed for every law enforcement officer and their family. I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for 167months. Feel those prayers. God is with you, feel His presence. He knows and will ease your pain.
