Reflections for Police Officer Matthew Robert Tyner
GOD BLESS OFFICER TYNER, HIS FAMILY AND HIS DEPARTMENT.
DEPUTY ALAN W. MOFFETT 436
RICHMOND COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE (AUGUSTA GA)
July 26, 2012
While I'm heartsick and bawling while reading all these, it's so heartening to know that his colleagues are confirming what I know of Matt regarding his personality traits.
There hasn't been a person one would be better off knowing than Matt, so I'm thanking each of you for taking the time to try to find the words to express your feelings about him so his family can feel a kinship with you through him.
Thanks to each who wrote with words of comfort; I know it's not an easy thing, thinking of your own mortality when you hear of a brother-in-arms having fallen...
My prayers are also with all of you.
Matt's Aunt Linny, his mom's sister

Matt----I know we are all struggling to find the words. Mostly I'm sorry for the things I should have said and even more sorry for the things I shouldn't have said. I wish I had stopped to say more than "Hi" when you were here last week. I wish......if only..........Such silly phrases now. It makes me think of your "always and never" speech. You were wrong, there is a time to use those words. So in honor of you I'll say both! You will ALWAYS be remembered and NEVER be forgotten!
A friend/2631

Officer Tyner,
I had the pleasure of speaking with you twice while you were working on motorcycle outside of my apartment complex. Both times you were extremely courteous. I was saddened to hear of your passing two days ago, and I hope you are at peace now. I hope to one day fill the void that you left. God speed, Officer Tyner. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and your colleagues at CSPD as well.
