Reflections for Trooper Aaron Robert Beesley
A few years ago my friends and I went on a horseback riding trip down at Palo Duro Canyon in Amarillo. We noticed a teenager trapped on a cliff with his friend peering over the side at him standing there on the ledge screaming for help.
I was shocked and couldn't believe he had even tried to come down that rock.
Our guide said, "here we go again. This isn't unusual. Several times a week this happens. It is always the younguns doing this crap".
We were deep in the canyon and he had to ride away to be able to get a phone signal to have this idiot rescued. Even though the circumstances are somewhat different, this tragic incident with Trooper Beesley brought this back to mind.
God be with the family of this brave man. A true hero you are sir. So terribly sorry for this great loss to all who love you...really a great loss to the whole nation. I am so sorry.
a grateful citizen

To Trooper Beesley, his family and coworkers:
We here in the State of Washington just lost a brave Mt. Rainier National Park Ranger who fell to his death during the rescue of four climbers...so sad to lose two such brave souls. Two heroes who gave their lives in the service of thier fellow man. We should all be grateful that there are men like these who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice helping people who do not always make the wisest choices. May God Bless them both and keep them in his loving arms. My sincere condolences to his family and all those who knew him.

For Trooper Aaron Beesley:
Our duty as law officers on patrol take us into situations that are as unpredictable as they are many. What appears sometimes as a simple task evolves into something far more complicated. Almost always, the effort of the officer is for the benefit of others. Such is our lot and our fate. We regret that our brother Aaron would be the next officer to encounter such circumstances in living up to his sworn duty to serve and protect mankind.
We pray for Aaron's family, friends, co-workers and all who car about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.
We are proud to render Trooper Aaron Beesley, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.
