Tonight I just found out that a good friend of mine lost his life doing what he loved to do best. He shared so many stories with me about other rescues he had been involved with, asked me for advice on many other things, and most of the time we would just talk about whatever. Aaron you will be missed very much, I thank you for your friendship, and I will miss our talks. Thank You brother.....

Aaron was a true friend, teacher and hero. He gave so much of his time to others, always willing to help where ever he was needed. He had so many talents and made a difference in so many lives. He helped the Box Elder Communications Dispatch Center in so many ways and was always there for us when we needed him. The sadness of his death will be felt by so many people who knew and loved him. He will never be forgotten.

To the family, friends and colleagues of Trooper Aaron Beesley.
My heart is filled with great sadness at the lost of your loved one and fellow trooper.
We in the law enforcement community both active and retired, having walked the line of good over evil, knowing that at any moment a call help may require us to make the ultimate sacrifice for our fellow man.
For Law Enforcement is not a job but a calling and only a few will make the decision to commit to that calling to serve for some will give all that they have.
I commend you my fallen brother for making the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of your duty.
You left us doing what you chose to do.
What you were trained to do.
Performing the oath you swore to do.
Most importantly doing what you loved to do.....serving your community making a better and safer place for us all.
Rest in Peace my brother, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

Aaron- when I first met you you were a "Tech Trooper" and specialized in DPS Software. You set up our agency a long time ago with MDCS, then PSI. I always admired your abilities to not only be an officer, but one with special skills that set you apart from the others. I've tried to emulate that myself. You didn't know this, but you set an example to me on how to take my career- not to only be an officer (that anyone can be), but to set yourself apart from regular officers by being an officer with unique skills. An officer an employer will value.
And thanks for backing me on a stop a few months ago in my county on the suspicious guy- it was nice seeing you again.
Take care bro.

Trooper Aaron Beesley was married to my niece. My father was retired Ogden Police Sgt. Tim Dyer. He met Aaron while working together at Ogden City Mall as security guards. My father was his mentor and introduced him to his wife - my niece. He was a wonderful husband and a great father to 3 little boys - 2 of which are special needs. He loved his job and told me during our private conversation on Thanksgiving Day that he wanted his boys to proud of him. I know they will always be proud of him. I'm so thankful to know that he was met on the other side by his Grandfather-in-law - a fellow officer. Watch over Kristie and the boys together gentlemen. Rest in peace.
