Celena was one of the kindest and gentlest people that I had the pleasure of knowing. She was in the police academy with my husband and never made me feel like a spouse but like family. Reading many of these posts made me smile because for every post there are millions of people who's lives were touched by Celena. Her daughter will know how many people loved her mother. Her organs were donated. Even in Death Officer Hollis is helping people and saving lives. She is now guarding heaven and I wait to see her smile again. Celena, thank you for your kindness. I love you and I will miss you. RIP sister.

Rest in peace Officer Hollis, we have the watch now. It is an accomplishment to have served 4 years with the Detroit Police Department and come out unscathed just to be murdered senselessly while doing your job. A valiant officer, gone from the ranks. Officer Hollis saw a problem and acted to rectify it. A true sheepdog, acting to protect the flock.

The Latin phrase, "Honor, Virtus, Gloria," describes Officer Hollis' actions well: "Honor, Valor, Glory."
