To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. I am privileged to be among the first to pay tribute to you. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 119th anniversary year of your death.

Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Thank you Officer James for your courage and sacrifice. My fiancee is a night shift officer and while I don't know the struggle personally, I do know that many sacrifice to support our loved ones. You are appreciated and will not be forgotten. Thank you.

Officer James:

We are grateful for your service. We write these tributes in a world that you could not have imagined, with many wonders and ways of communication and travel that were light years beyond your world. And yet there is evil in the world to confront as there was in your day. The thin blue line continues and serves to this day. Thank you Officer James.

It has been more than 119 years since you made the ultimate sacrifice. Like you, I work the night shift, so I know the sacrifice of that shift. Thanks to this site your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
