Your heroism and service is honored today. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. We will never forget our 9/11 heroes. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Hi Mr.Ortiz my name Jjade Dixon and i live in St.Peterburg, Florida you probably want to know why i would have a comment on your hard work but i do i attend Pinellas Park High school and my social science teacher have told us to do a project involved in memorializing you as a officer reading how you fought for your life to save others is what makes you a hero to not just me but other young girls who's never really had a hero or even a father that they would choose to look up to i have a real hard problem with my emotions and recently I've lost two close family members so i just want to say thank you very much and not just because i have a project but because as a person i think you are and i also wish the best to your children wife and even your grandchildren and i know you are in a better place love a fellow citizen.

You Sir are a hero just by the profession you chose and the search efforts for your fellow officers, first responders and other individuals murdered. Thank you for your service

I did not know Edwin personally, but just from this brave act of unselfishness I see what a great man you were. I wish peace for your wife Daisy and the rest of your family.

Dearest Eddie, I will always remember your positive attitude and you smiling face. The "Wing" and the motorcycle rides that Pam and I shared with you and Daisy. God bless you and your family. Until I see you again at that return Roll Call with God I will always miss you, Brother.

I know you would not have done anything different that day or in the years that followed. You were willing to sacrifice your life as a testament of your love for your country and fellow man. You toiled those grounds seeking answers to someone else's prayers, never once regretting that you were there. When cancer engulfed your body, you never asked; why me? instead you said why not me? You recognized that it was your cross to bear and never wished it upon anyone else you carried it proudly. you are truly a great american. When tears fill this solitude of your passing I look to the heavens for I know you are there, then suddenly life within me grows once again. To the moon and back infinity times, I love you forever my beloved husband.
