Happy birthday in Heaven , my sister. Wishing you peace for eternity. Thanking you again for your service and sacrifice for all of us here. Your invaluable help for families of the victims that gave resources to finalize their disabilities in LOD. Many of us are still here but, who knows how long. Every day is a gift for us. I worked for many years in the 63 with Jackie and she was one of the kindest , most caring persons I have ever met. I bumped into her through the years and always enjoyed seeing her. She was taken much too soon from us. I miss her sunny smile and quirky ways. Rest In Peace Jackie. You are missed

Lt. McCarthy died having helped so many people in her life. She is now serving our Lord God in Heaven. I did not know Lt. McCarthy personally, despite working the 9/11 details in NYC since 9/12, but I know the type of person she was by her co-worker (Retired Sgt. Paul Simon) reflection regarding his former boss. Also, her photo depicts a mirthful and caring human being. Thank you Lt. McCarthy for helping fellow police officers and their families during their difficult times.

My personal condolences to the immediate family of Lt. McCarthy and to her mother and father, as well as to Sgt. Simon and the rest of her friends. May God be with you all, especially her immediate family and Sgt. Simon.

Dear Jackie,
I am filled with so many thoughts and memories. You served honorably, a good Cop, a good Boss and a good C.O. You were the Unit Commanding Officer and I was fortunate to serve as your Executive Officer. You made my job as Sergeant and X.O. seem easy and effortless. I will always have fond memories of the days we worked together as it was my last command before I retired. Thank you for making my last year on the job a happy one. Till we meet again at the last return roll call, you will always remain in my thoughts and prayers as you now watch over us from heaven.
