I have several close relatives, one being my brother, who are in law enforcement. Something like this really hits close to home for me, emotionally as well as geographically. May God bless his wife and daughter as they struggle to understand and live life without him, and God be with the Pearl PD as they deal with the loss of a brother.

Your noble work and ultimate sacrifice have touched many. There are hardly words to show my appreciation for what you have given the residents of Rankin County. I pray for your wife and daughter. I find hope in that your little girl will grow up knowing her Daddy fought for what he believed in, pursued justice, and protected the defenseless. You are our hero. As the City of Pearl attempts to move on, your imprint will always be on the hearts and souls of the residents. I pray for strength for the other Pearl Police Officers. I moved to Pearl several years ago and Pearl is where I call home and is exactly where my heart is. Pearl is a beautiful city to live in and a City that I feel is safe for my children to run and play because of the hard work of the Pearl Police Department and the sacrifice of Investigator Walter. Words can not express my sorrow and my gratitude. My heart, thoughts and prayer are with your family and daughter. You leave a legacy in Pearl that I for one will make sure my children know and understand.
