People dont realize the kind of risk police officers face each and every day while keeping us safe. I would like to send my condolences to Officer Walter's family and friends. often times we dont express our appreciation for the job our civil servants do untill its too late. So i would like to charge anyone reading this to thank a police officer the next time you see one, for they are truly heroes. Thank you Sir, your service will not soon be forgotten.

My heart aches at the loss of Officer Walter. I knew him as Mike, my son's best friend and baseball buddy. They played college ball together before they both went off to play professional baseball.

I have no doubt that he went about his job like he played ball, he gave it his all.

My heart goes out to Mike's parents, wife and children and know that myself, my wife Belle and my church will lift you up in prayer and hope that you feel the arms of God's strength to hold you up.
