John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

The day I stood on that yard and was told by our Sgt that you had passed was a terrible day for NC Dept Of Public Safety ..esp Mountain View. Being your co-worker made me proud..You did such awesome work..Your pleasant smile and encouraging words daily made it easier to come to such a cold negative place to work. I kept for the longest time the last fireball you gave me in the Gatehouse! You were such a trooper and I will miss you always..Shoot yea! Love ya Wright..

I watched William Wright grow up from a baby until his passing as I worked for his grandparents Willard and Pansy Wright on their dairy farm while I was a teenager growing up myself.
William comes from "salt of the earth", GOD fearing family. William's grandparents Willard and Pansy Wright often took me to gospel sings and were truly wonderful witnesses for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. William Wright would follow "Papaw" Willard Wright and help him with the "moo-cows" at the dairy farm. Pansy Wright made the very best ole timey orange slice cake at Christmas I have ever eaten.
I had the priviledge to work with William's father Archie Wright. We logged off 5 acres of white pine trees together with a horse. William's mother Earlene would make us chocolate gravy and biscuits for breakfast before we would head out up the mountain.
What a glorious reunion of William Wright meeting his Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST and joining his grandfather and grandmother in heaven...
If you could see me now, I walking streets of gold.
If you could see me now, I'm standing tall and whole.
If you can see me now, you know I've seen HIS face.
If you can see me now, you know the pains erased.
May almighty GOD give all of the Wright family members a double dose of comfort and guidance.
I pray this in JESUS CHRIST mighty, powerful and holy name. Amen.

Though I never knew him, he was part of my Law Enforcement family and I will mourn this deep loss the rest of my life. My heart aches with all the losses we have suffered, and continue to suffer, through the years. God is our only peace through such incidents. May family & friends feel the presence of the "God of All Comfort" as they endure the distressing days ahead. I join them in their agonizing grief & remember them in my prayers.
Another senseless tragedy
Another day of grief,
Another day of praying
To help us find relief.
Relief from bitter anguish
Relief from rage so great,
Relief from lenient justice
Which continues to seal our fate.
Relief from heartache’s torment
As we continue on,
Oh, the awesome loss of brotherhood
Now that you are gone.
Though our hearts are deeply broken
And our tears forever flow,
There’s a comforting assurance
That now with God you go.
We know that you are welcome
Now at Heaven’s gate,
While meeting brothers & sisters
Who also met such fate.
The family of Law Enforcement
Knows no distance here or there,
And we recall in comfort
You await us there.

I feel sorry for the lost of a fellow Correctional Officer. My prayers goes out to his family. People don't realize how dangerous of a job we got working in the prison system and how dangerous these inmates really are. We work in an environment where you got murderers, child molesters and violent gang members. We do jobs that no one else wants to do with poor pay and insurance coverage. But at least i know im helping my nieghbor hood making sure these kind of people are locked up not doing wrong doing in our streets.
