Holly, I did not see this until now.... I received a dove ornament from Ohio, so hopefully this was you. Thank you for your kindness and your efforts to contact us. We released doves at his service and I have been using the dove as a symbol on a blog I started... widowshelpingwidows.com so it seemed especially appropriate. I keep it out all year, on the mantel with his badge, name plate and flag! If you need additional information you can email me at [email protected]
Thank you very much!

Hi. Since my husband was murdered on duty in 2008, K-9 Officer Joshua T. Miktarian, I have helped make Christmas ornaments for Fallen Police Officers with my husbands Police Department, Twinsburg Police in Ohio.
With that said, I need to get Mr. La Rosa's ornament to his family. I cannot get an address for him. I've even tried calling people in DC with no one being able to get me an address for him. I dont need the families home address, but perhaps an address for a work location for the ornament to be forwarded to them. If you need to confirm this story, please call Chief Chris Noga at Twinsburg Police Department or myself Holly Miktarian at . I hope someone reads this and can help me.
RIP Director of Field Operations Julio La Rosa.

Though I never knew him, he was part of my Law Enforcement family and I will mourn this deep loss the rest of my life. My heart aches with all the losses we have suffered, and continue to suffer, through the years. God is our only peace through such incidents. May family & friends feel the presence of the "God of All Comfort" as they endure the distressing days ahead. I join them in their agonizing grief & remember them in my prayers.

Julio, I remember the days when you worked right down the hall from me in the Miami federal building. I would always see you in the gym with your colleagues. Staying healthy was always important to you. I will never forget your sarcasm and wit. You were one of a kind, my friend. I know you will truly be missed. CID has lost one of their best. My heart goes out to your wife and sons. May they find peace in the loving memories you shared with them. RIP

Avenue of the Fallen
Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.
