Reflections for Senior Police Officer Jaime De Luna Padron

You did a job well done and left a mark of justice on this nation. I was at your funeral and was amazed at how many were there for you and your family. You always did what was right, stood up for the innocet and the weak, you are one of three who inspired me to do the job. Ill never forget what you taught me the first and only time we met. You said those who do the right thing for the right reason are the ones who who can say I did the best I could the best I knew how. RIP BROTHER WE GOT IT FROM HERE.

Though I never knew him, he was part of my Law Enforcement family and I will mourn this deep loss the rest of my life. My heart aches with all the losses we have suffered, and continue to suffer, through the years. God is our only peace through such incidents. May family & friends feel the presence of the "God of All Comfort" as they endure the distressing days ahead. I join them in their agonizing grief & remember them in my prayers.

Another senseless tragedy
Another day of grief,
Another day of praying
To help us find relief.

Relief from bitter anguish
Relief from rage so great,
Relief from lenient justice
Which continues to seal our fate.

Relief from heartache’s torment
As we continue on,
Oh, the awesome loss of brotherhood
Now that you are gone.

Though our hearts are deeply broken
And our tears forever flow,
There’s a comforting assurance
That now with God you go.

We know that you are welcome
Now at Heaven’s gate,
While meeting brothers & sisters
Who also met such fate.

The family of Law Enforcement
Knows no distance here or there,
And we recall in comfort
You await us there.

For Jaime's Birthday:

"""On Your Birthday

No cake or candles here today
Or presents for you to open
Just love from family and friends who want to say
Happy Birthday, and that we're hoping
Somehow you can see and know
That we have not forgotten you
That we still remember, even though
You've departed from our view
And if you see us here below
And wonder why we care
It's just because we want to show
That a part of you is still here
You live within each memory's heart
And so you remain, even though we're apart

Ms. Padron,

I would love to get in touch with you about riding in honor of Officer Padron next May in the Law Enforcement United Bike Ride to National Police Week. I rode this year for my dad who was killed in 1998. My sister and I were the same age as your daughters at the time of his death and your story really resonated with me. I would love to ride in his honor and be able to pass on remembrance bracelets to you and your daughters. Please feel free to contact me, so I can explain more about this cause...

I hope your family is finding some comfort in these hard summer months and are surrounded with love from family and friends.

Another good man and brother murdered. I'm so tired of seeing us being killed. I have lost so many friends in this job. I know there are more good people than bad. Thanks to all who care. You are the people that Jaime gave his life for. The rest of us continue on. To Protect and Serve. These are not just words but an oath to put the lives of others before our own.

Officer Jaime Padron. A true HERO.

You fought the good fight both as a U.S. Marine and as a Law Enforcement Officer. We will keep fighting for you brother, as you have done more than was asked of you. May your family find peace knowing that you are at peace now. I hope your courage will inspire many others, both in and out of our profession, to do the right thing. Rest in Peace brother.

Officer Padron has such a winning and sincere smile. His assination happened across the street from my
apt. This deeply affected me, I am an 83 yr old Grandmother and great-grandmother with high respect for the men & women who protect us, both police and fireman. May his 2 beautiful young daughters always know what a kind and sincere person their Father was. They should always be very proud of him. God's blessings to you both.

With much love and admiration, I leave message for you and your service and your family. A very sad and tragic thing has occurred, as a servant of God, he calls for his servants when their time has been fulfilled. Blessed are the peacemakers, they shall enherit the kingdom of God. Death is not the end, but the birth back into the spirit world. This life is a probationary time for us to overcome evil and follow our heavenly fathers plan. Seek knowledge, through Scriptures you will find comfort. The book of mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and with the Bible, the book of Mormon delivers the fullness of Gospel.

Seek me and ye shall find me.
Amen.

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"
