What a Horrible loss! Im a fellow soldier and any time we loose one of our own its a crippiling loss,but then for this gentleman to become a Police Officer,and a good one at that,just make this,im at a loss for words,Its sad,I Pray for his Children,and I Pray for him and his family,God Bless,and R.I.P. you will never be forgotten!

It's still hard to believe your gone from this earth but I know you are with God and serving a greater purpose. Thanks for all the good times and never lose that smile that you were so well known for. You had my six while we were on the streets together and now I have some comfort knowing that you will have my six from higher ground. Sorry to Officer Padron's family may he rest in peace. Our finest are always taken from us to soon. My fathers end of watch was march 19, 2004. Rip officer Padron they have the watch from here. This never gets any easier.my heart goes out to your family and friends.

Sacrifice. Think about all of the people that were in this store. Employees, customers, ect. This could have been a mass fatality scene. One hero stepped in between. One sacrificed himself for others. Thank you Officer Padron. You are a hero and an honor to the uniform.

Today, Good Friday, a man sacrificed himself to save his flock. But no houses of worship will be built in his honor, no books written about his life and death. In time, his name will be inscribed in small thin lettering on a wall of marble in our Nation's Capital, beside the figure of a lion and the words of Tacitus, "In valor there is hope."

The police officer stood and faced his Maker, which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining brightly as his brass. “Step forward now, police officer how shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To your Maker, have you been true?” The police officer, with squared shoulders, said “No sir, I guess I ain’t. Because those of us who carry badges can’t always be a saint. I’ve had to work most Sunday’s and at times my talk was rough, and sometimes I’ve been violent, because the streets are tough. But I never took a penny, that wasn’t mine to keep. Though I worked a lot of overtime when the bills just got too steep. And I never passed by a cry for help, though at times I shook with fear, and sometimes, please forgive me, I’ve wept unmanly tears. I know I don’t deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fears. But if you have a place for me here, well…it need not be too grand. I never expected or had too much so if you don’t…I’ll understand.” There was silence all around the room where the saints respectfully stood. As the police officer waited quietly for the judgment…bad or good. “Step forward now, police officer, you’ve borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven’s streets, You’ve done your time in hell.”

I heard about this on the radio this morning. Freakin' ridiculous. What happened to gun control laws. Oh wait, that's only for non-criminals. Criminals are entitled to have guns. Makes me sick. RIP officer.
