I never met Officer Padron, but I remember hearing this news and it made my heart very sad. I watched part of the trial and the reading of the sentence...the statements of his friends and family tugged at my heart, but none more than those letters his daughters wrote. I am so very sorry they have had to go through this horrible situation, but, as many have stated here, Officer Padron will NEVER be forgotten. RIP Sir!

I never met Jaime. Last year I participated in the Police Unity Tour and rode from Portsmouth, VA to Washington, DC in his memory. It was an honor to have been able to do that. After the ride I mailed the bracelet I wore to the Padron family.

My father was killed in the line of duty in Pecos County TX in 1988 and I would like the opportunity to speak with any family member of Officer Padron concerning the trial and what with follow for them. After 20 years of appeals, I witnessed the execution of my Dad's killer. My heart goes out to this family as they are about to embark on this horrible, lengthy process. I would like to share my experience and offer any help that I can be to this family in your time of need. God Bless you all.

This past weekend marked the anniversary of the day you were taken away from us. Its only been a year but it feels like just yesterday I got the heart wrenching news that you were gone.
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you! I'm still waiting on the day that I won't break down or tear up when I hear your name or see your picture. You've changed my life and I'll never forget you or the conversations we shared every morning over vanilla dunkin donuts coffee. :) You're truly and deeply missed!! RIP Jaime

Jaime ... today is the 1 year anniversary of your E.O.W. YOU are missed every minute of every day. You have left an unimaginable legacy ... you would be so proud of your wife Amy, Ariana and Olivia. They have shown the strength and courage you always knew they had. Please continue to watch over them - always. I have no doubt that you are as busy on the other side - as you were here on our earthly home. So many of the people you left behind miss and love you - you have left a void that no one will ever fill.

Approaching a year since you commenced standing watch over your brothers and sisters of The Thin Blue Line. Many visit your final resting place to reflect, pray, mourn and remember you, each in their own way. They carry you in their hearts daily. Some share a humorous story about your mischevious exploits. And some continue to honor your memory through their service to others. Eternal peace to you and those who love and miss you. Semper Fidelis!

as the anniversary approaches you have been on my heart lately, as you look down upon us watching over over your brothers and sisters in blue know that you are missed and have left a mark on everyone's lives you have touched. Remembering that night is something I do often praying that I am able to keep all my guys safe and when they need help I can get them more than enough as quickly as possibly. Sending my units to your call knowing it was you someone I called friend with tears running down my face I just couldn't seem to get them there fast enough I knew they were going as fast as they could but time was standing still. The 10 miles they had to travel seemed like 100 and all I could do was pray. Then your best friend suddenly came to mind and I started to pray for him, your significant other and your precious daughters would live a lifetime without you. Why things happen the way they do we will never know or why the good guys always seem to go before the bad beats me ... I am blessed to have known you, to count the times you ran 27's backwards and sometimes just to drive me batty makes me laugh. As an officer, a marine and a man no one will ever fill your shoes and you are missed by so many.
